Zeromaniac Work Examples

Over 1 year of work

Animus Vox is my first and only from scratch avatar, my pride and joy.
She is heavily inspired by the Rexouium by Rezillo Ryker. She is naturally NSFW. Her body is smooth and does not force fur using geometry onto users. Her teeth are a 1:1 canine replica and her nose is edgier than the fara rex's, resulting in a convincing canine feel.

Animus Vox is full body ready, comes with custom hand gestures, gesture expressions, as well as face tracking. VRCFury is used to easily drag-and-drop install her addons and parts (tails, fluff, feathers, horns...). Corrective blendshapes are used to maximize the mesh deform accuracy. Due to the level of detail, Animus Vox's body alone has ~58.500 triangles and uses 4 materials.

More addons such as a dragon and shark package for Animus Vox are planned.

Designed with the tail in mind

These pants took me a while to make. They are specifically designed to accommodate the Rexouium's cumbersome tail with a hole. The decorative strap around the base of the tail to which the chains are anchored incorporates the otherwise rather ugly hole into the flowing design. The shorts are included.

Remastered for better performance

You may recognize these horns. Originally created by ScottishXRipper, I remastered these with his consent. I ended up remaking these from scratch, replicating the design and shape. The original did not offer a UV layout - my edit does. Each horn and each section can be colored separately. The triangle count was cut from 87k to 24k.

Clean lines thanks to my tablet

While retextures are not my specialty, I do know my way around substance painter. My steady hand allows me to produce designs with clean line work.

I have a good understanding of anatomy and face no trouble finding optimal placements for design elements.

My specialty

My specialty lies in the things harder to see and explain. I enjoy making edits to existing avatars and assets most, such as:

- Adding/removing replacing parts such as tails
- Fixing/adding blendshapes and basis shapes
- Changing/making new animations
- Refitting clothing and props to other bases

Also, I very much enjoy helping people understand how to make edits themselves. I strongly believe that everyone can learn this stuff and make whatever they wish. However, I also remember the battles I had to fight and the endless confusion when I just started.

I'd love to point you in the right direction. Answers to questions are free - always :)
